This project involved a comprehensive ecommerce upgrade for a UK product brand. The client's existing Shopify store had a poor conversion rate, high cart abandonment and no systematic email marketing or post-purchase follow-up. Their growth was entirely dependent on increasing ad spend — an unsustainable approach.
The challenge
The store was generating traffic but converting poorly. Product pages lacked compelling copy, social proof and urgency signals. The checkout flow had unnecessary friction. Abandoned carts received no recovery communication. Post-purchase sequences were absent, meaning repeat purchase rates were significantly below category benchmarks.
The solution
We redesigned and rebuilt the product page template with conversion-optimised layouts, AI-powered product descriptions, enhanced social proof placement and improved trust signals. An AI recommendation engine was integrated to surface relevant products throughout the shopping journey. A 5-email abandoned cart recovery sequence was deployed across email and SMS. A post-purchase automation sequence was built to drive repeat orders and reviews.
Results within 90 days
Conversion rate increased by 34%. Average order value increased by 28% through AI-powered product recommendations. Abandoned cart recovery rate of 18% — recovering revenue that was previously lost entirely. Repeat purchase rate increased by 22% through post-purchase email automation. Overall revenue grew by 41% with no increase in ad spend.
